About — Why We Built Conflict IQ | Assured Integrity
About Conflict IQ

We built the assurance layer the system was missing.

New Zealand has one of the best integrity reputations in the world. Protecting it shouldn’t depend on an annual form and the hope that everyone remembered everything.

01 · Why we exist

A reputation built over decades can be lost in a single undisclosed relationship.

The public sector’s own reviews are unusually candid. The Serious Fraud Office estimates around 40% of its caseload now involves corruption. The Anti-Corruption Taskforce found internal cases “almost certainly under-reported,” a true scale that “is unknown,” and a sector “on the back foot” on the data analytics needed to find risk. Conflicts of interest, the Audit Office says, are the “gateway to corruption.”

And yet the standard tool is still a once-a-year declaration — a memory test, taken on trust, never verified. We built Conflict IQ to replace hope with evidence.SFO Anti-Corruption Taskforce, 2026; NAP5 2026–2027

02 · What we believe

People omit — and rarely out of dishonesty.

More often it’s oversight, convenient self-persuasion, or the path of least cognitive resistance. A serious integrity system must be designed for how people actually behave, not how we wish they would.

Public message, private rigour

“Assured Integrity” is the outcome a board can stand behind. Underneath it sits a forensic architecture that earns the word.

Evidence over attestation

A signature is a claim. We test claims against the record, so assurance rests on proof, not paperwork.

Aligned to the public good

Built to the direction government has already set — NAP5, the Anti-Corruption Taskforce, the Privacy Act 2020 — not against it.

Foundation programme

We’re selecting a small number of foundation agencies.

Conflict IQ is working with a limited group of New Zealand public organisations to shape the platform before wider release. Foundation partners get direct influence over the roadmap, hands-on implementation support, and first-mover advantage as the standard shifts from voluntary to expected. If protecting your organisation’s integrity reputation is a board-level priority, we should talk.
